A number of people, after looking at Lyn's paintings have said,"Her flowers dance."
So with "dance" as our cue let's use this new painting to create a whimsical fantasy in which Lyn's flowers are the fairies in Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." The peony has been called the queen of flowers, so it's fitting that the large white peony in the center is Titania, queen of the fairies. She is holding court in her secret glen, guarded on the right by the foxgloves and on the left by the delphiniums. Her fairies are the blue hydrangeas. They skip in from the left, up on their toes in tight clusters, then move down and pass in review before their queen. They are singing their anthem, "Hail Titania, Queen and Mother."
For music we take two lines from Tennyson,
"O sweet and far from cliff and scar
The horns of Elfland faintly blowing."

The elves are in the foreground but choose to be invisible, Yet, their horns, fashioned from beach roses, can be seen waving about.
All is in motion, even the tall guardians sway to the tempo. Titania, aloof but smiling, accepts the adulation.
